Chicken Cordon Bleu Pasta

Dang you  Pinterest. 

So Saturday we had the Elders from our church (the missionaries, you know the ones you see on bikes with the name tags) to our home for dinner.  I wanted to make something other than the usual spaghetti we served them 3 weeks ago.  Since I have become hooked on Pinterest, this recipe looked absolutely delish.  Totally not healthy but so good.  I did use the reduced fat cream cheese, so that counts for something I am sure.   I will have to figure out a version that is on the healthier side since we are all on a change of lifestyle kick at our home, but this was SO good.  It's very filling, so a little goes a long way.  I made way to much, but the leftovers were almost better than the night of.
see, I made waaaaaaay too much!  lol

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to its package's directions. Drain. I always add a little olive oil after I drain it and stir in around so the pasta noodles don't stick together or the pot.
  2. Heat cream cheese on stove over medium low heat until melted. Stir in heavy cream. Stir until completely combined. Add onion powder and garlic salt until it tastes how you would like it to. Stir in cheese until smooth consistency.
  3. In a 9x13, layer noodles, chicken, bacon and ham. Pour sauce over top. Sprinkle top with 1/2 cup cheese and bread crumbs.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes or until heated through
